Career Coaching & the Highlands Ability Battery in Asheville

Career coaching and the Highlands Ability Battery for clients in Asheville, Hendersonville, Black Mountain, Brevard, and the Western North Carolina mountains.

Why we work in Asheville

Asheville's combination of independent schools, second-career adults, and a large remote-work population makes it one of the highest-fit markets in the country for an ability-based career assessment. Most clients are referred by Christ School families or by adult mentees from earlier years.

How engagements work here

Benjie spent nine years at Christ School in Arden, just south of Asheville. He served as a teacher, coach, and Dean of Campus Life, and graduated his Vanderbilt Peabody master's program while there. He continues to see Asheville-area clients in person several days each month.

What we offer locally

Independent schools we serve in the Asheville area

We work with families and administrators at these schools. Each school below has its own page with detail on how the Highlands fits the families and students who attend.

Frequently asked, locally

Do I have to come to Asheville in person?

No. The Highlands Ability Battery is taken online, and the two-hour debrief can happen in person, over video, or split (e.g., debrief in person, follow-up over video). Most clients choose at least one in-person session because the conversation is materially better face-to-face.

Where do you meet in Asheville?

We use a small set of professional spaces — typically a downtown office or a quiet co-working spot. Specific location is confirmed when you book.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. The Highlands assessment is straightforward at $495. The eight-session coaching program is offered in two installments. We’ll walk through it on the initial call.
