The Highlands Ability Battery is the gold-standard, science-based assessment of natural ability. In 3.5 hours of timed work samples — not personality questions — it measures 14 abilities, 3 personal styles, and one core skill. We then sit down for two hours to translate the results into a decision you can make.
What you actually do
Complete the Highlands Ability Battery online, in a single 3.5-hour sitting, on your own schedule. The questions are not multiple-choice opinions — they're work samples that measure things like classification speed, idea generation, visual memory, and inductive reasoning.
Then we meet for two hours, in person in Charlottesville or Asheville, or over video. I walk you through the 14-ability report, your three personal styles, and your core skill. We connect each result to the specific decision you're sitting on — a major, a transfer, a job change, a career pivot.
