Career Assessment & College-Major Coaching for The Field School of Charlottesville Families

The Field School of Charlottesville is an independent middle school for boys in grades 5–8. Its small size and focus on the developmental needs of adolescent boys make it a natural fit for the kind of student-formation work Benjie has been doing his whole career.

Why the Highlands fits The Field School of Charlottesville

Field School families often think early about high school placement and long-term direction. The Highlands isn't appropriate yet for fifth- or sixth-graders, but the framework Benjie uses with eighth-grade families and their upcoming high school decisions translates directly.

How we engage

Most The Field School of Charlottesville families begin with an individual Highlands Ability Battery — a 3.5-hour online assessment plus a two-hour debrief — for one student. Some families come back for a second child two years later. Schools sometimes engage us at the institutional level for cohort work.
