Why the Highlands fits Miller School of Albemarle

Miller students balance demanding academics with serious athletic and outdoor commitments. The Highlands helps them understand which environments and roles will let those interests compound rather than compete.

How we engage

Most Miller School of Albemarle families begin with an individual Highlands Ability Battery — a 3.5-hour online assessment plus a two-hour debrief — for one student. Some families come back for a second child two years later. Schools sometimes engage us at the institutional level for cohort work.

  • Individual Highlands work for upper-school students
  • Senior-class cohort engagements
  • Cycling team or other athletic cohort work
